Our donated transmitter from KTNA, a 400 lb solid state device that’s about 20 years old was tested by Van Craft the broadcast engineer yesterday. The transmitter is in our garage and takes 220 volt power. We don’t have a 220 volt outlet in our house, so our neighbors, the Olsons, graciously let us run an extension cord from their house to ours to run the test.
We will be ordering the antenna tomorrow. Once it comes, Mike and Van will go out to the site to install the antenna and the transmitter. In the meantime, Brian Mead, our board president, will go out to the site and level the hut.
