On August 23, 2011 our broadcast engineer turned on the transmitter in Sutton and drove his car down to the Sutton General Store and turned on his radio. He heard the first cry from our station and could certify to the FCC that we were on the air. This meant we were done with our construction permit, and we could file for a license to transmit. We ran test programming for several months and started regular broadcasting, including the Mike and Dave show on weekday mornings. And so it began. We’ve come a long way in ten years and look forward to the next ten. (Image by Nick Stephenson on Unsplash)
