2014 Volunteer of the Year

Alex Munoz
Alex coordinated our broadcasting from the Alaska State Fair in 2012 and 2013, and was heard daily from the Fair both years. He has engineered shows for the station and when Mike was gone for 4 weeks, anchored the morning show four days a week. Alex also served on the Board for a year.

2013 Special Board Member Award

Carolyn Covington
Carolyn joined the board to be our treasurer and stayed on long past the time she expected. She’s kept our books, helped run fundraising campaigns, managed our office, organized our files, staffed our office, and gave sensible input at Board meetings. Her “get’er done” attitude has helped us get where we are today. Carolyn is leaving the Board, but is still planning to be involved.

2013 Volunteer of the Year

Jack Horner
Jack is the first recipient of our Volunteer of the Year award. Jack built our first WordPress website. He also streamed most of the borough assembly meetings for several years. That’s hours and hours of sitting watching the sound levels on the streaming computer.
